We are committed to protecting our planet as an integral part of our business. To reduce environmental footprint, our manufacturing units implement highly effective Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) management systems.

 
WATER MANAGEMENT
Use of state-of-the-art machineries reduce water consumption at our factories. Our garment Washing Facilities are designed to minimize water consumption significantly compared to other wash factories. Ozone Machines at our wash facilities produce desired garment shades without any water usage, enabling us to develop sustainable washing for world renowned brands.
 
ENERGY MANAGEMENT
High-tech machineries at our factories lead to energy savings and high levels of efficiency. Our facilities use energy efficient technologies along with inverter technology where possible. Some of the efficient technologies include servo motor, LED light, ventilation systems, heat recovery systems from heated water, insulation systems, high SRI color in rooftops and hardscape.
 
CHEMICAL MANAGEMENT
E-Flow machines at our factories use significantly fewer chemicals than regular types of machineries. Our denim wash facilities use laser machines where obtaining light PP Shade is possible without using any potassium per manganite. Use of Ozone Machines at our manufacturing facilities also help in achieving any desired shade without use of chemicals.
 
GHGs & CARBON MANAGEMENT
Our manufacturing facilities follow structured Carbon Management Plans (CM Plans) that sets out future ambitions and a roadmap for progress. Systems are in place for each manufacturing unit to identify scopes of carbon emission reductions and realize financial savings through improved efficiency in the procurement and operations of buildings and transportation.
 
WASTE MANAGEMENT
All our facilities implement the 3R concept in their waste management procedures. After onsite segregation two times a day, solid waste goes to the wastage store. Non-hazardous and hazardous wastes are then collected by Government authorities for proper disposal. Our factories are equipped with highly effective biochemical Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP).
 
BIODIVERSITY MANAGEMENT
Special emphasis is put on biodiversity conservation so that Environmental Impact Assessment is done for every facility and preventive actions are taken against possible impacts. This assessment takes consideration into Noise, Indoor and Ambient air quality, Greenhouse gas emissions, safe disposal of wastage material, Biodiversity conservation, among other factors.

Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC)
Our manufacturing facilities follow a joint roadmap developed with ZDHC Foundation for the purpose of meeting the needs of the Greenpeace DETOX campaign, which advocates for clean water and fashion without pollution. The campaign’s goal is to eliminate release of all hazardous chemicals into the water.
 
The Higg Index
The Higg Index is a suite of tools developed by the Sustainable Apparel Coalition. This industry successful self-assessment standard helps in measuring the sustainability performance of our manufacturing facilities with significant accuracy. Higg Index is also used as an assessment for the improvement of Environmental Management Systems (EMS).

Amfori BEPI was founded in 2013 and their comprehensive services help our manufacturing facilities to trade with purpose and focus on key environmental improvements. The tools from amfori BEPI help our manufacturing facilities in identifying environmental hotspots as well as transforming information into concrete insights and actions.
